#Catt acoustic software software
CATT-Acoustic or CATT-A indicates the CATT-Acoustic software in general including TUCT. Document conventions: CATT-Acoustic v8 or CATT-A v8 indicates the main program CATT32.exe. The contents are installation instructions, a mini-tutorial, a software overview and a background to CATT and CATT-Acoustic. This document contains parts of the help-file adapted for a standalone printed document. New users are strongly recommended to use only TUCT for prediction, it is separate program but is considered a part of CATT-Acoustic. Eventually it will be stripped down to handle mainly geometry modeling and checking, libraries and other support functions and TUCT will perform the actual prediction and auralization, once that transition is complete it will be labeled CATTAcoustic v9. TUCT will take over all prediction and auralization in CATT-Acoustic but during a transition period the main program will stay essentially as it is to ease the transition for old users.
